Designed by Omer Arbel, the Series 28 cluster pendant light 19 - 61 pieces by Bocci has glass bubble detailing that are naturally formed creating slightly different sizes and shapes each time, making each light unique in its own way. It is an aspect of the design that adds to each light's individual authenticity. This particular light forms a compact cluster reminiscent of an abstract cloud. This light can be a single fixture or partnered with others for a consistent and dimensioned look. Such a balanced and seemingly simple design is accomplished using a complex glass blowing technique in which air is added and then removed from a glass matrix, which is heated and then rapidly cooled. The final result is a warped spherical shape that has inner layers of opaque milk glass and clear glass (which houses a low voltage lamp at its centre). With a robust copper flex cable suspension the lights hang securely from the ceiling, allowing for the cluster to form an artistic and centered illumination.
